The Pesto Cookboo

Publish Date: April 17, 2018

This is my first cookbook review! I really enjoyed it.

Thank you to NetGalley, Storey Publishing, and Olwen Woodier for a preview of this book in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

Look at that beautiful cover. So many bright, vivid colors. Fresh herbs. This cover is definitely eye catching. It makes you want to pick up that spoon and have a taste of that pesto. Yum!

Pesto 2

This book is a comprehensive guide to pestos. It begins with the basic pesto recipe and then that’s where it gets interesting. From there, the author introduces us to other herbs to include in pesto, such as rosemary, mint, parsley, thyme, tarragon, and cilantro. and even devotes a chapter to “pushing the pesto envelope” and another chapter on herbed oil purees, mayonnaises, and vinaigrettes.

Pesto 3

This book is really about all kinds of sauces, and not just pesto.

The book has a diverse collection of recipes for fresh pestos, pastes, and purées, and takes inspiration from cultures beyond Italy, with an international spin such as Moroccan Chermoula, Brazilian Tempero Purée, and Peanut-Cilantro Pesto.

Pesto 4

This is the BEST book of pestos and sauces that I’ve ever encountered. The recipes are original, flavorful, creative and EXCELLENT! I am an avid cook and I’m always looking for interesting sauces and pesto to compliment my dishes.

The pesto recipes in this book will work for ANY type of dish that you have. The recipes very unique, delicious, original, easy to follow, easy to make and will impress your family, friends, and guests when you make these pestos.

I highly recommend this book. You won’t need any other book on pestos once you have this one!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars 5 Stars
